A collection of eight books, four videos, two DVDs, poster, assorted fur pelts, many Native American tools from woven fabric to elk antler hide scraper, sweetgrass braid to cattail mat, and other items and information about Native American village life. The items for the kit were acquired through a grant by Merle Frommelt, Park Ranger at Effigy Mounds National Monument, for the purpose of helping school children learn about the past cultures, archaeology, ecology, and history of Northeast Iowa and the Upper Mississippi River Area.
