Scripts have multiple reading levels (1.5-3.0). Titles: Many Helping Hands (Theme: family and friends; content area: language arts); Poetry? Yuck! (Theme: kindness; content area: language arts); Lucky the Firehouse Dog (Community heroes; social studies); Moving Forward (Immigration; social studies); Money Counts (counting money; math); Webs of Beauty (patterns; math); A Garden in the City (environment; science); Amazing animals (animals-characteristics; science). Each script is based on a piece of children's literature: A Chair for My Mother, Tale of Custard the Dragon, Firefighters A to Z, How Many Days to America, If You Made a Million, Spider Weaver, City Green, Wolves. Guide provides lessons, ELL support and reproducibles. Contents: teacher's guide; hybrid teacher resource CD (character masks, poem overheads, PowerPoint shows, reproducibles, song overheads, take-home scripts); three performance audio CDs (with scripts, songs, and poems); 16 transparencies (song and poem for each script); and six copies of the eight different scripts. | |
