Situation cards are designed to heighten the adolescent's appreciation of the effects of actions both on the originator of the action and on others. Teaches students to predict possible and probable consequences by presenting real-life situations for active, involved consideration. The aim of introducing these materials is to help children take others' needs, interests, and feelings into consideration as well as their own when they act. Student responses could be verbal discussion, role-play, written response, or some other way to show the results of the situation. The set of 71 situation cards could also be used for creative writing; they are not intended to be used as the basis for punishment or extra work. From the Lifeline series, In Other People's Shoes.
