Written at second-to-third-grade level, and intended for use by students in grades 6 to 12, the series teaches skills and concepts with hands-on activities that are high interest and appealing, motivating students to learn. Students study math skills through planning a budget for their money, they explore the world of science through using a weather map to plot a trip across the United States, they learn communication arts by creating an advertising campaign, and they study social studies by holding a mock congress and passing a bill. Each book has been organized into sections that reflect the variety of skills that students need in that discipline.
