Each book in the Survival Vocabulary series is designed to help poor readers master 80 words and phrases commonly encountered. Divided into units and parts that allow students to learn five words at a time, moving on to mastery as quickly or as slowly as their ability allows. At the end of each unit, a word puzzle and a test both reinforce and test the students' mastery of the 15 or 20 words in the unit. Designed for use by individuals or groups with a combination of guided and independent work.
