Includes two programs: one for students and one for educator. Student program (28 minutes) teaches what cyberbullying is and how it is different than regular bullying. Suggests what students should do if it happens to them or someone they know. Teaches students how cyberbullies and bystanders both hurt the victims. explains why bullies do what they do, and discusses the effects of cyberbullying on the victims and perpetrators. Suggests practial tips to manage an online identity, positive ways to resolve conflict, and effective ways to respond (or not respond) to a cyberbully. Educator program (17 minutes) describes specific forms of cyberbullying and how to detect warning signs. Suggests how to handle an attack once it has been reported and to establish a course of action. Includes a printable parent handout. | |
