Janice Papolos, co-author of The Bipolar Child, takes the viewer through the day of a bipolar child. DVD begins with an introduction that describes the contents and then continues with the lecture at the University of The Pacific. She explains morning sluggishness/sleep inertia, the difficulties interpreting social cues, weight gain, the anxiety that often occurs with bipolar, and executive function deficits. The DVD contains an edited version of the lecture called 14 Minutes to a Better IEP that pulls out pertinent segments to help a special education team design a better plan for these students. | |
