Briefly discusses the problems associated with the misdiagnosis of gifted children. Often the characteristics of giftedness are interpreted as symptoms of pathology. Children are treated for a learning disability or disorder such as ADHD or Asperger's Syndrome which hinders their intellectual, emotional, and social development. | |
