Explores the cyclical changes that are common to living systems. As they observe plant and animal cycles, students will see that living things change over time. They will also be made aware of some predictable patterns in their own lives--patterns in their day and patterns in their growth. Patterns addressed include animal cycles and trends (children's growth and aging and insect metamorphoses); plant cycles (growth and decomposition); Earth cycles (seasons); sky patterns (moon phases); and Earth-friendly cycles (reduce, reuse, and recycle). | |
