Teacher manual for grade 1 Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS) contains 18 lessons divided into seven units: number concepts, comparing numbers, addition and subtraction concepts, place value, addition and subtraction I, addition and subtraction II, missing addends. Each lessons is conducted over three days during a week. Sessions last approximately 30-40 minutes. The first day a teacher-directed lesson lasts 10-20 minutes. Students work in pairs on their game boards for the remaining time. Partners are re-assigned every three weeks. Manual has scripts and reproducible worksheets. | |
