Guide provides Iowa teachers with background information and lesson ideas for natural, historical and cultural sites in northeast Iowa. Provides pre-activity, on-site, and post-activity field trip lessons. Has examples of teaching and learning tools (fish bone diagram, decision wheel, KWL chart, etc). Field trips include visits to museums, nature centers, conservation areas, farm, hatchery, lock and dam, exhibits, parks, and other points of interest in Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, and Winneshiek counties.
